
Bordeaux Branch Library is located at 3711 Village Drive in Fayetteville, NC.
Our hours of operation are:
Monday and Tuesday 9:00 am-9:00 pm
Wednesday thru Saturday 11:00 am-6:00 pm
Closed Sunday
The Bordeaux Branch Library serves over 30,000 people who live in western Fayetteville. The 10,000 square foot facility opened in December 1985 adjacent to Mary McArthur Elementary School. In FY 2008-2009, an average of 11,750 people per month visited the Bordeaux Branch, using the library in a variety of ways: more than 13,000 books, sound recordings, videos, and magazines were borrowed each month; and there were over 30,000 people who used the computers available to the public. Our information services staff also answered 34,359 questions during that year, which works out to roughly 110 questions per day!
The branch offers the following:
- 2 professional and 8 paraprofessional staff
- professional research and homework assistance
- adult computer lab with access to email, word processing, office applications, electronic research databases, and more
- separate children’s computer lab featuring educational games, word processing and research sites designed for elementary and middle school aged children with heavily-filtered Internet access
- B&W and color printing available from 9 Internet-accessible computers, 4 limited-access Internet computers, 1 email computer, and all library catalog computers
- Wi-Fi access available inside library (access is filtered and unsecured) Sorry, no printing from Wi-Fi currently available
- Book-a-Librarian sessions
